A Typical Day at the Clubhouse...
At MBIC, every member contributes to the day-to-day operations of the Clubhouse. Staff and members work side-by-side to complete tasks and projects within several Units:
- Business Unit (administrative work, computers)
- Employment Unit (return to work or school)
- Community Integration (outings & volunteering)
- Health & Wellness Program (exercise & educational speakers)
Members arrive between 8:30 to 9am. The daily morning meeting starts at 9am to determine the work of the day in which members can choose which activities and tasks they would like to work on.
Individuals continue their individual tasks or projects until lunch is served at 11:30am. After lunch, members continue the workday with group discussions, skills training, and other scheduled group activities.
After completing afternoon activities, members prepare to leave for the day according to their scheduled transportation pick-up time (by 3pm).
As members work together to develop skills and relationships necessary to maintain progress within the organzation, they are able to develop and strengthen abilities that support their own personal goals.
Member Work Schedule
The general program schedule for members is from 8:30am to 3pm, Monday thru Friday. Members are expected to be on time and plan their transportation drop-offs and pick-ups accordingly (transportation should NOT be scheduled prior to 8am or after 3pm).
The Clubhouse hours of operation is Monday thru Friday, 8am to 4pm, and closed on major holidays.
